I am currently a MSW student at NYU and a proud alumnus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where I graduated cum laude with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, I later moved to Miami, FL, before settling in New Jersey. I am fluent in Spanish and have a background in taekwondo, which I practiced for six years.
My professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to mental health and advocacy. Upon completing my MSW, I aspire to work as a trauma therapist, focusing on adolescents and young adults within the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to provide compassionate care and support while also engaging in macro-level work to influence policies that benefit this community. I am passionate about making a meaningful impact and fostering positive change through both direct clinical practice and broader policy initiatives.
