Georgia Lavey, MSW, LSW

Georgia Lavey, MSW, LSW, is an experienced psychotherapist seeing patients at Hudson River Care and Counseling. She offers mental health services from the practice's Hoboken, New Jersey, office and is also available for teletherapy.

Georgia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.

Georgia utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.

In addition to her work with HRCC, Georgia also works as a psychotherapist at a public elementary and middle school in Newark. Additionally, she serves as the program Data Analyst for Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates in Jersey City.
