Elizabeth Policano

Elizabeth Policano is a clinical social work intern at Hudson River Care and Counseling (HRCC). Elizabeth works virtually and in the Teaneck, New Jersey, office. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work at New York University and is committed to helping clients remove barriers that prevent self-actualization.

Elizabeth understands and values the unique strengths each individual brings to counseling and seeks to utilize those strengths throughout the therapeutic process. With an eclectic approach to therapy, Elizabeth uses a variety of modalities for treatment, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, amongst others. Through her studies and experiences, Elizabeth is committed to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys through empowerment and empathy
